Jorge Méndez Blake’s individual exhibition A Message from the Emperor is on view in Marfa Contemporary, TX, US, until next September 15.

Inside documenta 14 Athens, curated by Ben Russel and ending July 16,  Alexandre Estrela took part in Hallucinations, last Saturday, June 24 at 5pm. Hallucinations is a three-day festival of live cinema, AV projection, and expansive performance featuring hypnagogic works by over 15 artists, musicians, filmmakers and curators from around the globe.

“Every Blind Wondering Ends in a Circle” is the title of Jose Dávila´s first solo show at Blue Project Foundation Barcelona.

Since June 20 until October 29, 2017 the show takes place at Il Saloto. Four sculptures from Joint Effort serial, which are a reflexion about attraction and tension between materials, understanding a moment of suspension and quiteness, highlighting the relation between their transparency and opacity. Fragility and resistance, calm and tension, geometry and chance coexist, creating this unstable stillness.

Jose Dávila presented on June 2, his first solo Museum Show in Europe curated by Dr. Brigitte Kölle and Dr. Petra Roettig at Hamburger Kunsthalle. The exhibition format Uncharted Territory features each year in the eponymous project space a different international artist whose work engages with global processes of change and issues of migration, identity, and place.

Through June 4, Mateo López is participating in The Valise, a collective artists’ project, unites seven South American artists—Johanna Calle, Matías Duville, Maria Laet, Mateo López, Nicolás Paris, Rosângela Rennó, and Christian Vinck Henriquez—with the Argentine writer César Aria. The printed edition, published by the Library Council of The Museum of Modern Art, presents a selection of artworks responding to the idea of travel and to Aria’s novel.
