La Presente (The Room of the Present) is Mateo López’s new project, which now forms part of the Permanent Collection of the National Museum of Colombia. Commissioned by the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Knowledge and the National Museum of Colombia, the installation brings together sculptures, drawings, masks and everyday objects inspired by the familiar spaces of the corner shop, the hardware shop, the general store and the market square.
