RACHOFSKY HOUSE, DALLAS TX | CHARLIE BILLINGHAM

TWO x TWO for Aids and Art is an annual charity auction that will take place at the Rachofsky House in Dallas  on the 27th October in partnership with the Dallas Museum of Art and amfAR, foundation for research into HIV/AIDS. This year’s edition will count with Charlie Billingham’s work NITS, 2018, for auction.

MUSEO TAMAYO, MX | GONZALO LEBRIJA

Vía Láctea is Gonzalo Lebrija’s solo show at the Museo Tamayo of Mexico DF, which will begin on the 20th October, until the 24th February. It will showcase his photography and video work towards a sociopolitical study of particular geographical contexts, in this case around cigar smokers in Havana.

TRAVESÍA CUATRO | JOSE DÁVILA

Travesía Cuatro has edited in collaboration with This Side Up Books the catalogue of the Jose Dávila exhibition ‘Not All Those Who Wander Are Lost.’ This edition presents views of the installation held at the Royal Botanical Gardens, Madrid, from the 12th to the 19th September on occasion of Apertura Madrid 2018. The price to the public is 25 euro.

 

LA CASA ENCENDIDA, MADRID, SPAIN | ALEXANDRE ESTRELA

The exhibition Lua Cão at La Casa Encendida, Madrid, will host the work of portuguese artists Alexandre Estrela and João Maria Gusmão + Pedro Paiva. The immersive experience will begin on the 10th October, until the 5th January 2019.

CA2M, MADRID | TERESA SOLAR ABBOUD

The group show ‘Querer Parecer Noche’ taking place at Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo (CA2M) in Madrid will host the work of Teresa Solar Abboud. It will run from the 10th October to the 28th January 2019.

LA CASA ENCENDIDA, ESP | ASUNCIÓN MOLINOS GORDO

Asunción Molinos Gordo will lead a workshop at La Casa Encendida, Madrid, titled ‘Oficina de arqueología imaginaria’ from the 23rd to the 26th Octubre. She will approach a speculative archaeology of the building that hosts La Casa Encendida as well as the Lavapiés neighborhood at large.

SAO PAULO BIENAL, BR | SARA RAMO

The 33rd edition of the Sao Paulo Bienal will include the work of Sara Ramo, exhibited in the curatorial proposal ‘The Infinite History of Things or The End Of The Tragedy of One’ by Sofia Borges. It will take place from the 7th September to the 9th December.

YUZ MUSEUM SHANGHAI | JOSE DÁVILA

Jose Dávila will be exhibited at the YUZ Museum Shanghai, China, in the group show ‘The Artist is Present’ curated by Maurizio Cattelan and Alessandro Michele, of Gucci. It commences on the 10th October 2018.

BeMA LEBANON, STUDIOCUR/ART | JOSE DÁVILA

Jose Dávila will be exhibited along other in the ‘Cycles of Collapsing Progress,’ a contemporary art exhibition in Tripoli, north Lebanon, opening September 22nd. Organised by the Beirut Museum of Art and STUDIOCUR/ART it works in partnership with Anissa Touati Corporation for Mexico.

Sammlung Philara in Dusselforf presents the Jose Dávila solo show ‘Somewhere Behind the Eyes’ from the 6th September to the 21st October 2018, including his works ‘Homage to the Square’ and ‘Aporia X,’ 2017.

Jose Dávila collaborates in the group show ‘Latinoamerica: Volver al Futuro’ at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Buenos Aires ending on 3rd march 2019.

After traveling through MCA DENVER and ASU Phoenix, the exhibition ‘SABER ACOMODAR: Art and Workshops of Jalisco 1915-Now’ returns to Guadalajara, from where the exhibiting artists originate. The works of Jorge Méndez Blake, Jose Dávila and Gonzalo Lebrija can be seen from the end of July onwards at the Instituto Cultural Hospicio Cabañas.
